Sexuality & Relationships

This workshop has been designed for parents and carers and will help equip them with the skills and confidence to support their children in areas of sexual and emotional health.
Participants will also gain confidence to challenge inappropriate behaviours in an appropriate manner.
The session will be delivered in a relaxed fashion enabling participants to explore some key areas in sexuality and sex education, including
o Teaching privacy rules – How, and at what age, to discuss this
o Inappropriate sexual behaviour and how to manage it
o Personal space and boundaries of body
o Relationships – how to ensure the child/young person stays safe and is able to be assertive
o Sexual health – contraception
o Keeping safe online
There will also allow time for individual questions
Understanding the decision to exclude

This is an opportunity for parents and carers to learn more about Croydon’s Independent Travel Training programme with Independent Travel Assessor Monica Clarke.
The session will cover;
- How do we decide that the child is ready for travel training?
- What happens at the assessment?
- How children are prepared for independence – learning the route, keeping safe, dealing with things that can go wrong.
Hear the experience of previous participants and their families in the training programme.
